Can I use my existing bed and boxspring?

Yes you can. Dreamaire can be used on your current boxspring, foundation, or platform bed. Your Dreamaire mattress will still retain its full warranty. We do however sell foundations that will ensure that your mattress has proper support.

I need a foundation. Do you sell them?

Yes we do. We at AirBedz.com now offer foundations that can be shipped with your mattress. A firm foundation will insure the best possible performance of your air mattress

What is the difference in the Cerulean and the Celenia?

The Cerulean and the Celenia are very similar mattresses. There are two main differences between the two beds. The main difference is the air control unit. The Celenia comes standard with the digital pump which is much quieter and offers a digital display showing your pressure level. The other main difference is that the Celenia also comes standard with our 2.5" memory foam insert pad. The cover and quilting design are also slightly different but do not affect your sleep comfort.

Just how quiet are the pumps you sell?

Please note that the pumps only run when you inflate or deflate the mattress. Our whisperflo pump can be run in the middle of the night and will not wake most people. You can certainly hear the pump running but in comparison to our standard pump, it is much quieter. This pump does produce a somewhat loud sound, but note you will not use the pump very often and basically never in the middle of the night.

How can you sell Dreamaire so much lower than my local store?

There are basically two reasons why we can sell so much lower. Because of the internet we are able to sell a large volume of beds which allows us to work on a much smaller profit margin than your local store can. Secondly, we have very little overhead on our web-site. There are no light bills, water bills, or salesmen commission to worry about. In essence, there is a great deal less work involved. In our retail stores here in South Carolina, we must and do sell our mattresses for a higher price because of the reasons stated above.

Where is the mattress manufactured?

Dreamaire is a division of Park Place Bedding. They are located in Greenville, South Carolina and have been making mattresses for 70 years. They were the first to sell air mattresses to the general public over 20 years ago.

The mattress I get will be Brand New, correct?

OF COURSE IT WILL BE BRAND NEW!!!! All the mattresses we sell are first quality and of course BRAND NEW. We ship all of our mattresses directly from the manufacturer. Because we offer a 90 Day Rest Test, we sometimes get returned beds, however that is very seldom. When we do get returns, we sell those beds as Demo models at significant savings. You can get more information and availability on our demo models by calling us. You will not receive a "Demo" model unless you specifically order one.

Does the 90 Day Rest Test apply to all of your products?

Our trial period applies to all of our mattresses, mattress sets, massage units, topper pads and pillows. For example, if you order a mattress with the optional memory foam. You love your mattress but want to return the memory foam, you certainly can or vice-versa. The only items that do not include a trial period are our adjustable bases which is consistent with other dealers.

The mattress does have 2 separate remotes, right?

Yes, all of the units we sell have two separate remotes that are wired directly to the air pump so that there is no chance of you losing them. They can also be attached to your side of the headboard so they are always handy.

How many days before my mattress will arrive?

Because we want you to start enjoying your new Dreamaire mattress as soon as possible, we will normally ship your bed within 5-10 business days. Sometimes, the Dreamaire shipping department is overloaded with orders which may cause your shipment to be delayed a day or two. When placing your order, we will be glad to give you the approximate day your bed should ship. Please allow an additional 2-3 business days on the East coast and 5-7 business days on the West coast for delivery once it leaves our warehouse.

How long will it take me to set it up?

Your new Dreamaire mattress is very easy to set up normally taking between 15 to 25 minutes. The instruction packet comes with the mattress and can be found in the box in a plastic bag with the warranty information. If you order a complete mattress set, the boxspring/foundation is completely assembled. Our UPSable foundation simply has to be unfolded.

Where does the pump go?

With most normal beds you can place the pump under your bed near the headboard. If you are placing your Dreamaire mattress on a platform bed, the pump can be placed in the vacant area between the sets of drawers. If the drawers meet in the middle, there should be enough space between the drawer unit and the wall for the air pump. The pump is small, 6" tall - 8" wide - 12" long.

Will normal sheets work on my new airbed?

Yes, normal sheets will work on your Dreamaire mattress. It is best if you make sure that the pocket on your sheets are the correct depth of the mattress. 9" pockets for the Bronze and the Classic, 11" pockets for the Cerulean, Celenia and Celesta models. Most sheet sets are now designed to fit 10"-14" tall mattresses.

Do I need to be home to receive the mattress?

We do recommend for someone to be home to receive your items. However, UPS/Fedex will leave the package at your door if no-one is home(as long as the driver feels it is safe to do so). If you would like to ensure that you are home for delivery, please make in the comments section on our order form for "signature required".

Can I pop the mattress?

No, you cannot overfill the mattress. The latex cotton chambers can withstand a great deal more pressure than the air pump is designed to produce. When the mattress gets to its firmed position, the pump will not be able to place any more air in the chamber. You also do not need to worry about any animals or children putting a hole in the mattress. Basically, the only way to pop the mattress would be to stab it with a knife.
